Tragedy at Escola Paranaense: Shooting attack leaves one student dead and another injured
The state school in Cambé was surrounded by the Military Police. The body of firefighters isolated the area. The students were released from classes and the shooter was captured and detained.

On Monday morning (19), there was a shooting attack in Cambé, a city located in the interior of Paraná, resulting in the tragic death of a student and leaving at least one person injured, according to the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). ).
According to information from the Military Police, a 21-year-old former student of the State College Professor Helena Kolody went to the school's management in order to obtain documents, but ended up shooting. During the shooting, a girl was hit and did not survive her injuries, while a boy was seriously wounded in the head and received immediate relief. The Military Police acted promptly and managed to arrest the shooter.

The school unit serves students from 11 to 18 years old, students from the 6th to the 9th grade of elementary school and also has classrooms for high school. The ages of the victims have not yet been released. Military police, members of the Fire Department and the Samu team are present at the site. After the shooting, Governor RatinhoJunior (PSD) announced a three-day period of official mourning.
The area was cordoned off by the Military Police and the Fire Department, resulting in the release of students from classes. So far, the State Department of Education has not issued any statement.
