Producer suspected of killing Jeff Machado is captured by the PM in Vidigal
Bruno de Souza Rodrigues, a friend of the victim, is suspected of planning and committing the murder of actor Jeff Machado in order to obtain financial results.

On the morning of this Thursday (15), in a joint action with the Civil Police, the Military Police captured Bruno de Souza Rodrigues, producer, appointed as the main suspect in the murder of actor Jeff Machado.
On June 1, Bruno was considered a fugitive from justice after an arrest warrant was issued against him. Jeander Vinícius, the other suspect in the crime, was detained by the Civil Police the following day. On May 24th, Jeff's body was discovered in a house located in Campo Grande, in the West Zone of Rio, buried in a trunk at a depth of 2 meters and covered with concrete.
Searches
Bruno was getting ready to leave his residence when he noticed the presence of police in the favela. It is not clear if he was trying to escape, as there were bags packed in the apartment. According to the Whereabouts Discovery Department (DDPA), Bruno had been in Vidigal for at least 5 days. The investigators started monitoring 4 days ago and, this Thursday, they carried out an operation to arrest him. The specialized team was following Bruno's tracks and discovering, for example, that he was staying in a house in Campo Grande.
Prison
According to the military police, Bruno was discovered in a building located in Morro do Vidigal, southern area of Rio de Janeiro, after an intensive two-week search. He did not resist and was later taken to the 14th DP (Leblon), where the arrest record was made. He will then be forwarded to the DDPA, where he will be questioned by the authorities and will remain at the disposal of justice, awaiting the progress of the investigation.

This week, the Report Dial announced a reward of R$ 1 million for information about Bruno's whereabouts. There is no information on whether an anonymous tip led the Military Police and the Civil Police to his location. Recently, the Justice of Rio rejected a writ of habeas corpus to allow Bruno to wait in freedom for the conclusion of the police inquiry.
Remember the case
According to law enforcement authorities, Jeff had his desire to achieve artistic career success used against him by Bruno and Jeander, however the duo aimed at making easy profit. As Jeff had no parents in Rio de Janeiro and lived in an isolated location, he was considered an ideal victim by investigators. Bruno even impersonated the victim to rent the house used to hide the body.
According to Jeander, who works as a baker, mason and call boy, the producer drugged Jeff in the actor's house and murdered him, claiming that the long-awaited role in a soap opera would finally come to fruition. Jeander claimed that Bruno ordered him to take a shower so he could record a pornographic scene with Jeff. Upon exiting the shower, Jeander found Jeff "dead in bed and tied up". Surprised, he questioned Bruno: “What the f*ck is this, man?” And Bruno replied: "Vinicius, now you're with me".
The two individuals decided to place the body inside a trunk belonging to the actor himself and then went to the hovel. Along the way, they came across a police checkpoint. The "professional escort" disobeyed the order to stop, broke through the blockade and started to be pursued. Jeander managed to lose the police vehicle and continued heading towards the hut. Arriving there, they deposited the chest in a pit that Jeander dug and later closed. Then, they went to a market where Bruno handed the young man R$300 and also asked for a bricklayer's recommendation to carry out the concreting service in the backyard.
