PF discovers GLO operation draft and mention of state of defense on Mauro Cid's cell phone
The recent body of evidence features documents that allegedly offered "legal and legal support for carrying out a coup d'état".

The analysis carried out on the cell phone confiscated from the colonel Mauro Cid, former president Jair Bolsonaro's right-hand man, revealed a large amount of messages, audios and even document exchanges that addressed coup plots with the aim of keeping Bolsonaro in power after his defeat in last year's elections.

According to sources that are following the case, some relevant information has been identified. One of them is the existence of a draft for the enactment of the GLO (Guarantee of Law and Order), which gives the President of the Republic the exclusive power to summon the Armed Forces to carry out military operations in serious situations of disturbance of order. In addition, ongoing negotiations for the decree of the State of Defense were also detected.
The Guarantee of Law and Order (GLO) is a measure established in the Constitution of Brazil which enables the use of the Armed Forces with the purpose of assisting in matters of public security in situations of serious disturbance of order.
According to Federal Police investigations, messages discovered reveal that Bolsonaro's close circle was conducting studies on the possibility of a coup d'état, in addition to the existence of a draft. The corporation does not provide specific information about how this document could lead to an institutional breakdown. The disclosure of this information initially occurred in the newspaper O Globo, this Wednesday (07).
Investigations
Still, according to the investigations, there is solid evidence that Mauro Cid had an active participation in coup plans after the elections. Cell phone expertise identified several of his interlocutors who are now being investigated by the Federal Police. Some names are being kept in absolute secrecy due to the important positions they occupied in the previous government. The inquiry is progressing in that direction.
In the same PF operation that resulted in Cid's arrest in early May, other individuals are being called to testify and some have even been detained. Former Army Major Ailton Gonçalves Moraes Barros and Sergeant Luis Marcos dos Reis, who were part of Mauro Cid's team, were caught involved in the plots of a coup. The sergeant, who is also in custody, is scheduled to testify this Wednesday afternoon at the headquarters of the Federal Police in Brasília.

Cid showed up on Tuesday (6th) at the headquarters of the Federal Police in Brasilia to testify in relation to a new set of evidence. O Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, granted permission for Cid to be interrogated again, alleging that the former aide-de-camp "gathered documents with the purpose of obtaining legal and legal support for carrying out a coup d'état". As mentioned in the order issued by the minister, the materials found deal with "the possibility of using the Armed Forces in an exceptional way to guarantee the independent and harmonious functioning of the powers of the Union ''.
During the hearing, which was attended by Deputy Attorney of the Republic Lindora Araújo, Cid chose to exercise his right to remain silent, refusing to speak. The Federal Police sought, through this testimony, to identify the person responsible for preparing these studies and clarify for whom they were being compiled. However, so far, there is no indication that the material was sent to Bolsonaro via a cell phone.
