The president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, announced this Tuesday morning (16) a reduction in gasoline, diesel and LPG for distributors starting tomorrow. Earlier, the state-owned company had also announced the implementation of a new fuel pricing policy at refineries, ending the import parity. The statement was made in Brasília alongside the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, after a meeting between the two.
O kitchen gas will have a reduction of 21.3%, going from R$ 3.22 to R$ 2.53 per kilo. With the fall, the value of the 13 kg cylinder should be R$ 8.97 cheaper in refineries. According to Petrobras, the reduction could bring the price of the gas cylinder to the final consumer below R$ 100. However, the government does not directly control the price practiced in the resale. already the Gasoline the reduction will be 12.6%, the value will go from R$ 3.18 to R$ 2.78 per liter (a decrease of R$ 0.40). While the diesel fell 3.8%, from R$ 3.46 to R$ 3.02 per liter (reduction of R$ 0.44). These reductions promote significant savings for consumers.
It is worth remembering that the designations "gasoline A" and "diesel A" refer to pure fuels, without the mixture of alcohol and biodiesel, respectively.
"It is noteworthy that the amount effectively charged to the final consumer at the gas station is also affected by other factors such as taxes, mix of biofuels and distribution and resale profit margins", says the state-owned company.
The announcement was made after the oil company disclosed earlier this morning its new fuel pricing policy. Therefore, the Import Price Parity (PPI) formula, which took into account dollar fluctuations, the international oil market, in addition to logistical costs with transport and port fees, effectively became revoked. Also according to the company, the customer's alternative cost encompasses the main supply options, including suppliers of the same products or substitute products. The marginal value for Petrobras is based on the opportunity cost considering different alternatives, such as production, import and export of the product in question and/or the oils used in refining.
The state-owned company said that gasoline and diesel price adjustments will be made on a non-periodic basis and will avoid passing on volatility to prices. Competitive pricing ensures that Petrobras can carry out its planned investments in the Strategic Plan, maintaining the company's financial sustainability.
