Manoel Soares leaves Globo and brings changes to the Encontro and Papo de Segunda programs
The co-host of the program Encontro com Patrícia Poeta is not a member of TV Globo's team of journalists, as disclosed by the broadcaster this Friday (30) during the afternoon.

Broadcaster Globo announced that presenter Manoel Soares ended his relationship with the company. According to the official statement, the presenter left Globo on Friday (30). In addition, due to the vacation of presenter Patrícia Poeta, as of Monday (07/03), the program Encontro com Patrícia Poeta will be conducted by Tati Machado and Valeria Almeida, members of the program's team.
Globo also disclosed that, as of July 17, Patrícia Poeta will once again present the program 'Encontro', which will bring some news after a year on the air with the current format. In addition, starting next week, the GNT 'Papo de Segunda' program will be led by João Vicente de Castro.

Manoel Soares commented on one of his social media platforms about his departure. "Today I close a chapter of my professional history: I'm leaving TV Globo, a house that allowed me to reach thousands of Brazilian homes, telling many stories", he said. "Every cycle often ends and that's the case now. But it's okay, I'm not sad, I'm not hurt, under any circumstances. I have many friends within TV Globo that I'll take with me for the rest of my life. That's not the end of nothing, it's the beginning of another cycle."
Disagreements between Patrícia Poeta and Manoel Soares
In June 2022, Patrícia and Manoel took over the presentation of the program "Encontro", replacing Fátima Bernardes, who started to command the program "The Voice". In the first meeting of the program, the two had disagreements. On that occasion, Patrícia vented about the rumors, stating that they were malicious attacks and unfounded lies about the backstage of the program. Manoel, on the other hand, argued that it would be a waste of time to worry about rumors.
Nine months after the tense incident between the two, which occurred live on the program, when the journalist interrupted her colleague and caused great discomfort backstage, the moment went viral and criticism of Patrícia increased significantly. According to journalist Lucas Pasin, she even lost weight and faced sleepless nights due to the negative repercussions.
