Irregular helicopter crashes in MS and police investigate origin of R$ 32,000 found with survivors
The police rescued the survivors of the aircraft and took them to the Naviraí Police Station (MS). In their possession, an amount of R$ 32,000 in R$ 100 bills was discovered.

According to the investigation conducted by the Department for the Suppression of Corruption and Organized Crime (Dracco), it was found that the plane, which crashed on Thursday (03) in the region of Parque Estadual das Várzeas do Rio Ivinhema, near Naviraí (MS), with two occupants on board, was flying erratically. Also according to the Dracco investigators, it continues to conduct its efforts to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
The person in charge of the investigation, Ana Cláudia Medina, stated that the department will still carry out an investigation into the aircraft. This Friday (04), police reported that both the pilot and the assistant survived the crash.
"The steps are still in progress and I need to protect these details until we have an exact idea of the scenario. We will inspect the aircraft as soon as possible", said the delegate.
Investigation
According to the investigation, it was found that the aircraft operated in irregular conditions. The helicopter had not undergone maintenance since 2020, as revealed by the tally conducted by Dracco. However, what intrigued the police was the discovery of BRL 32,000 at the site of the accident, alongside the survivors and the wreckage. The value was in "live money", composed of 100 reais bills.
When questioned about the value, both the pilot and the assistant claimed that this amount would be destined to the cost of expenses and maintenance of the aircraft itself. The police are thoroughly investigating the causes of the accident, as well as the origin of the money found with the victims.
The pilot was unable to provide details about the cause of the accident, he only mentioned that he had taken off from Siqueira Campos, in the interior of Paraná, bound for Fátima do Sul (MS). During the investigation, authorities found that one of the victims was carrying R$29,400.00, while the other was carrying R$2,800.00.
Rescue
The Environmental Military Police (PMA) was called to help the plane in an area close to the park, after receiving a request for help through the air communication system. Using a drone, the police were able to locate a crashed aircraft among the vegetation. After about 15 minutes of searching, the officers found the pilot and assistant injured and with signs of dehydration. The search team proceeded with the rescue of the two victims and sent them to medical attention.According to information from the PMA, the aircraft was completely destroyed.
