The bus belonging to the country duo João Neto & Frederico suffered an accident this Friday (06) in Caetanópolis, Minas Gerais.

The bus carrying the renowned country duo João Neto & Frederico suffered an accident at km 453 of BR-040, in Caetanópolis, in the Central Region of Minas Gerais, during the early hours of this Friday (06), as reported by the Federal Highway Police (PRF). The vehicle was on its way to a performance at the time of the incident. Although the singers were not injured, four members of the artists' team were injured, with three of them having already been discharged. The front part of the bus was badly damaged.
Accident
According to the PRF, the vehicle collided with the back of a truck transporting coal, at around 3:15 am, towards Belo Horizonte. The duo was on their way to Guarará, in the Zona da Mata region, where they have a show scheduled for this Friday. The Fire Department reported that there were 27 people on the bus, four of whom suffered minor injuries and were taken to Sete Lagoas Municipal Hospital.
The victims received care from two teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). There were no fuel leaks or people trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters provided first aid and isolated the area of the accident, without risk of explosion. In the morning, the highway was already completely open. In a statement, the duo's press office reported that all occupants of the bus were safe, including the singers.
"In the early hours of today, 06/09, the bus belonging to the duo João Neto and Frederico was involved in an accident, near the city of Sete Lagoas/MG. Fortunately, everyone who was in the vehicle is doing well, including the duo João Neto & Frederico who was on the bus. The duo's team informs that the shows scheduled for this weekend will be held normally without any changes. We appreciate all the messages of affection", informed the press office.
At 6 am, Frederico shared a photo of the bus with the damaged front and reassured fans: "The team has already been rescued, guys, and, God willing, everything will be fine," he said. João Neto, in turn, republished the official statement from the duo's advisors.
