Sylvia Gonçalves Rodrigues Leite, whose artistic name is Lolita Rodrigues, was born in Santos, São Paulo, on March 10, 1929. With Spanish roots, she began her career in the 1940s as a radio singer, in the Golden Age of radio in Brazil and later expanded her talents to the stage, where she shone as an actress for decades in the theater.

During this period, Lolita Rodrigues was hired by TV Tupi, where she acted in a series of programs, soap operas and tele theaters. On that occasion, she shared the presentation of the programs "Lunch with the Stars" and "House of Artists" with her husband, Aírton Rodrigues. A notable moment in her career was when she performed the Brazilian television anthem on TV Tupac's debut program, on September 18 of the same year. These programs remained on the air until 1980, when the station ended its activities.
Her acting career began in 1957, when she played the role of a gypsy in the network's "Hunchback of Notre Dame" television production.
